Las Vegas Dog Park Reviews: Kellogg-Zaher Dog Park

Las Vegas Dog Park Reviews: Kellogg-Zaher Dog Park

Location: 7901 W. Washington Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89128

You know what’s better than a large dog park? A large dog park with a full view of the Las Vegas Strip! That’s right, the dog park at Kellogg-Zaher Sports Complex has a breathtaking view of the Strip that my hooman loves to look at while I frolic around. I had the chance to visit this dog park and let me tell you, I was a fan! Immediately, I noticed that the park was split into two gated sections for small and large dogs. I’m a solid medium, so I can hang out with all my friends. Kellogg-Zaher is open every day from 6:00 AM-11:00 PM, but depending on the day, you may find only one side of the park is open.

This park is very family friendly, so feel free to bring the whole pack! Not only is the dog park located next to the parking lot, making it convenient and easy to access, but it also has a phenomenal view of the rest of the complex. With 11 soccer fields and a 2.44 mile track surrounding the park, there’s plenty of activities for you and your hoomans to do!

If you are looking for a dog park with a lot of trees and shade, you’ll be disappointed to hear that this is not the place. While there were a few trees to mark your territory on, none of them were large enough to shade you from anything. When you enter, there is a pretty decent shaded area with four benches, but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs as many owners do. There is also a large water-drinking area which I love. Running is great exercise but it is exhausting, so a water station is a must!

Because the park is pretty popular, you can always expect that there will be a decent number of friends to play with when you visit. Kellogg-Zaher Sports Complex Dog Park is very well-maintained and you can count on there being doggy-bags throughout the park just in case your hooman forgets. That way if we rush them out of the house without one, there is no need to worry because the park has plenty.

One thing to note about the park however, is that things can get MESSY. The park is on a slant, so during rainy days which are rare, mud tends to gather up by the main entrance. It’s not a big deal for us, but I assume that having to remove the mud from the car and carpet is not so fun for hoomans.

So, my final thoughts? 82 out of 101 spots. This is by far one of the best dog parks I visited due to size, room to run around and overall cleanliness. The location is great and all four-legged friends are well behaved! BONUS: So are their hoomans. If you are looking for a new dog park, I would definitely recommend this one. I was very happy when we left, and also very tired so I got a nice nap in before playing all over again at home.
